HISC has a central committee which undertakes the day-to-day running of the Supporters Club. In addition there are a number of branches affiliated to HISC who send representative to central committee meetings. The rules by which HISC works are governed by its constitution.

The central committee

The central committee consist of five important roles within the Supporters Club. Those elected give up substantial amount of their free time in ensuring HISC is run as efficiently as possible. They are also the first point of contact when the media or other organisations want to get in touch with the Supporters Club for comments, or when they are looking for people to attend radio & television shows, etc.

Branches

The branches affiliated to HISC are run independently but take advantage of the central committee's links with the football club and local media to back their events. Generally things have been quite for many of the branches since the turn of the century but with a regular calendar of mid-week events attended by players and officials from the club HISC they are beginning to re-establish their presence.

Honorary Posts

Since its inception HISC has had the former Stockport County Vice-Chairman Grahame White as its Honorary President. In 2003 the decision was made to invite former player James Gannon to hold the position of Honorary Vice-President, and in 2005 Jon Keighren became the latest to receive an honorary position at the supporters club. More details about these men can be found on the Honorary Posts page.

HISC's Constitution

The current version of the Hatters Independent Supporters Club constitution was approved at the 2002 Annual General Meeting. It can be viewed by visiting the HISC's Constitution page.
